personal training: does gender matter?

 

are you looking for a personal trainer? do you think it matters if your personal trainer is male or female?

 

for those of you just starting your fitness journey or have already started and just looking for the "next step", getting a personal trainer may be right for you. A personal trainer can help you with nutrition plans and making your workouts more intense, whether you want to tone up, slim down or both!

 

i started my fitness journey about 3 months ago and i have yet to get a personal trainer. my reasons are because of money...but anyways. i asked a friend of mine if it matters what gender your personal trainer is and her answer gave me an interesting way at looking at personal training....

 

basically, she told me that gender doesn't matter. trainers are certified to train both male and female so whether you have a male trainer or a female trainer, both will get the job done. the only thing that may be different is their technique. however, technique will vary amongst all male trainers and all female trainers.

 

I thought that this was an interesting way to look at it. When i was thinking about getting a trainer i told myself that i definitely wanted a female trainer, now, it doesn't matter. Also, i recently read an article about how the male and female body really isn't that different when it comes to fitness; really, the only difference is how many calories the female and male needs. check out the articel for yourself below!
