Summer TV: What I'm Watching!
So I know summer isn't official until June 21st BUT some summer shows have already premiered. So far...yes, so far, There are 4 shows that I have been and will be watching this summer. I'm such a a TV whore!
Love & Hip Hop Atlanta
For those of you that don't know, this show comes on VH1..I know, I know, the channel known for "reality" drama. I use the word reality loosely. Reality just isn't reality anymore. Anyways, I am a victim of reality TV and 'Love and Hip Hop Atlanta' is one of the shows that has sucked me in. This show is crazy, a lot of fighting, a lot of he-said, she-said. You know, typical "reality" tv.
However, what's going on right now on the show is kinda of an eye-opener. Stevie J which is Mimi's babydaddy and Joseline's supposed to be husband. On the show, there's all this talk about how Stevie J and Joseline aren't really married, that they're renting the house and cars that are seen on the show, and so on and so forth. When I say that what's going on is an eye-opener, I mean that there is such thing as celebrities being broke or in other words not being able to afford the big house and fancy car. Now of course, whose to say that one party or the other isn't lying but when there's proof is text messages...someone obviously has to be the liar right?!
Now when watching TV shows, whether "reality" (eww, there's that word again) or scripted, as a viewer there's always that one character that you relate to the most which becomes your favorite. I will always like Joseline, mostly because of the things that she comes up with (her phrases), but right now, my kind-of fave is Tammy. She's newcomer, she doesn't really know anyone yet and so far, she's innocent. With that being said, the show is only 4 episodes in so I'm sure there will be a different side to Tammy that we'll see.

Hit the Floor
From my last 'Hit the Floor' post, you know that I caught up and watched season 1 all in one day! It's not as dramatic as it sounds, there were only 8 episodes, but still. 8 42 min episodes is kind of a lot in one day.
Anyways, season 2 has premiered (May 26) and it's already starting off crazy. Asha's mom is the new Devil Girls director, Asha and Derek are a "thing" and Olivia, former Devil Girls director is dead! Yep, dead.
As I mentioned in the previous post, I started watching this show because of former 'So You Think You Can Dance' contestant Allison Holker who plays Charlie on the show. Still waiting for her to have lines...

Marrying The Game
Lately, this show has been tugging at my heart. The rapper The Game and his ex-fiance Tiffany have decided to call it quits and it's taking a toll on their children. They have two children and only 4 episodes in, the children have already expressed how they dislike they're parents living separately and having to go back and forth between two houses.
I admire The Game because of this show. This show portrays really well, who he is as a person, aside from being a rapper. Yes, it does come on VH1 and sometimes, some scenes on the show are questionable, however, I can't help but feel that majority of what goes on in the show is really real and it helps that I follow him on Instagram too, so there's a lot of confirmation there too!

So You Think You Can Dance
This is a show that I wait for every year. It's in the 11th season! Crazy right?! Is this the longest for a summer programming? I don't know but I continue to watch it every year.
I used to dance so this show is dear to my heart (awww...). This show premieres May 28th!
